Copyright is a law instituted to protect the work of people. This helps promote the advancing of technology and art. Copyright has changed over the years due the expansion of technology. A copyright is good the life of the person plus 50 years. There are several things that one should keep in mind when using things off the internet, due to copyright. First off you should just assume that everything is copyrighted to be on the safe side. Everything is copyrighted even if it says it is or not. Even though it is not necessary one can post a notice of copyright using the symbol or saying "Copyright (date) (Author's name)" If a website promotes that material is free to use without permission. then go ahead and use it. Other than that you should follow what the websites copyright says, or ask for permission. The punishment for violation copyright is very severe. A person can severe. For infringing on copyright a person could serve up to 5 years in prison and up to a $100,000 fine. The copyright owner has exclusive rights for reproduction in any way for private or public use. A URL is not under copyright so listing a website is not infringing on copyright. When one purchases an item, they purchased the right to use that for private use.In web developmen t any intellectual property like pictures, music, movies or any object is protected under copyright. so don’t accidentally infringe on copyright or the results would be so good.

My site consists of information solely on my life so the information is my personal creation. All images are my personal property, and I am not using anyone’s property in the creation of it. I have adhered to the copyright laws. If in the future I use other peoples material, I will either use things that are free without permission or I will ask for it. People’s creations require a lot of time and energy. I personally would be upset if people stole my property. Everyone should adhere to copyright laws to ensure people’s property is protected.
