High School

I grew up in the Rigby area, and attended Rigby High School. I loved high school and the experiences I had. My sophomore year was one of my favorites. I just got my driver’s license and a cell phone. Everything was new to me. I could drive anywhere I wanted and could call anyone anytime. Actually going to school was way different that kindergarten, elementary or middle school. Rigby was open campus for lunch, so you could go anywhere for lunch. Some of the greatest memories I had was going to lunch with Andy Stucki, Eric Cox, and Codi Nukaya in the Mazda B 3000. We would always yell at the middle schoolers, and get in trouble for traffic violations. The best was Andy jumping out of his truck to yell at the little kids and he ate it hard.

High school for me was really easy. I don’t remember doing homework at all, so college has been an eye opener for me. We would always have the same crew come over after school, and we would usually waste our lives away playing a game called Red Faction. I couldn’t tell you how many hours we spent playing that game. At night, if we were really bored we would usually pick one of the kids in our grade and go toilet paper them. We got caught once and that wasn’t too fun. Sometimes we would play “poker” if things were going really bad.

My senior year was my favorite year of high school. I thought I was the kin g of the world. I didn’t have to go to school very often, and all my hard classes were finished so I could just breeze by. Not playing sports was my biggest regret from high school. I didn’t like the politics in Rigby so I quit in middle school. I loved going to the football and basketball games, and screaming profanities at the opposing teams. Overall I loved the stress free life of high school. I would probably relive it again if I could.
